Apple CrispAPPLE CRISP
We receive raves from everyone who tries this apple crisp. It makes the perfect sweet dessert. After dinner, it is super quick to mix and pop in the oven. A warm apple crisp with a scoop of ice cream and everyone is happy.

Try it with other fruits and berries; it is always a winner. Apples, peaches, pears, cherries, even pineapple; try a mixture of apples and cranberries, or pears and golden raisins. It is of course fantastic with fruit, but also makes a delightful topping for pies. Its sweet blend of flavors will make your mouth water, and they will be asking for more.

*Nutty Apple Crisp
Cut apples into slices, layer in an 8x8 baking dish. Mix crisp according to directions. Add pecan pieces. Crumble over the top of the apples. Bake as directed. *Caramel Apples
Bake apple crisp according to directions. When cooling drizzle the top with a crisscross of caramel ice cream topping. Serve with ice cream.

*Apple Crumble Pie
Prepare pie crust and press into pie plate, fill with apple pie filling. Prepare apple crisp according to directions, generously cover the pie with topping. Bake @ 350 for 40-45min Try topping with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese for a southern favorite.

*Cherry Crisp
Drain a can of bing cherries. Place the cherries in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with crisp mix and bake according to directions. Serve with a scoop of chocolate ice cream.

*Bananas Foster-style
Slice banana into ovals. In a saucepan melt 1 stick of butter, add ½ bag apple crisp, and 1 Tbs sugar, stirring to blend. Add ½ cup water, stirring well over low heat (more or less water to reach desired consistency) Add banana slices. At the last minute add 1/3 cup dark rum. Simmer to blend flavors. Flambé if desired. Pour hot and steaming over ice cream.

*Twice baked Sweet Potatoes
Using large, fat, sweet potatoes; Scrub the skins and coat with oil. Bake @ 400 for 35-40 minutes, until soft. Allow to cool completely, and slice in half, lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the insides, leaving a border ¼ inch with skins to form a bowl. Mix the potato with 2 Tbs butter, and cream. Spoon the mixture back into the skins. Prepare Crisp topping according to the directions, but use ½ the butter. Crumble onto the top of each potato. Bake until golden.

*Ginger Pear Crisp
Crush ginger snaps in a zip lock bag. Spread into the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish. Cover with slices of fresh pear, or canned pears will work. Prepare mix according to directions. Top the pears with the crisp mix. Pop into the oven. Serve with ice cream.
